Through this time of reflection, we discerned the following seven objectives, which we believed would develop the life of our community and shape us to follow Christ together in Mt Albert, Kingsland and Pt Chevalier, into the future. Within these priority areas we developed practical steps many of which have borne fruit in our life in the last two years. We trust that further initiatives will emerge as we engage in this journey together. We commend the life of our community in Christ to your prayers and look forward to discovering how God will shape us together over the coming years. Our Parish Review, in March-April 2017 encouraged us to update and refocus the practical outworking of our vision priorities. Analysing the feedback helped us to identify new areas for continued development. We are grateful to everyone who offered feedback. There is much about our shared community life that is hugely positive, and for that we give thanks! Getting Involved The following list is not intended to be an exhaustive list of everything we do at St Luke’s. Many things that aren’t mentioned here will continue to happen and be valued in our day-to-day life, such as pastoral care and maintenance of our grounds and buildings. Those things are business as usual, though we might approach them in a different way. Our focus in this Vision process has been on what we do to extend our mission. Another way of thinking about this is that we are seeking to understand and join in God’s mission, out in our local community. Maintaining our buildings and our finances are not ends in themselves; they are tools for mission.
