Giving to Saint Luke's

St Luke’s Mt Albert is part of the Anglican Diocese of Auckland and as such, is a registered charity. All our operations are funded by parishioner giving, facility hire (which we keep at affordable rates to support our local community) and income from our rental properties. If you would like to make a one-off donation to St Luke’s Mt Albert you can use the account details below, and if you send a note to AnnCharlotte our Parish Administrator, (administrator@saintlukes.org.nz) we can provide a donation receipt that will allow you to claim a tax credit.

If you’d like to become a regular giver to support the ministry of the parish, you can do this via automatic payment or via our envelope system (for cash contributions). Either way, please contact our Treasurer, Dennis O’Callaghan (accounts@saintlukes.org.nz), who will assign you a permanent ‘giving number’ – this will allow your contributions to be tracked and a donations receipt generated at the end of the financial year.

We are also inviting special pledges over and above regular giving, for the purpose of supporting our building project due for completion in March 2024. If you are able to pledge a particular amount over the next 6 or 12 months, please contact Dennis our Treasurer for details.

How to Claim a Tax Credit

Hi everyone, It was recently brought to our attention that some people are looking to claim their Tax Credits back but don’t know how, so we have prepared a handy guide, which hopefully will be helpful! First go to https://myir.ird.govt.nz This should get you to a screen that looks like this where you can log in if you have used IRD services online before, or create a login if not.
Once in, you’ll get to a screen like the one below. Towards the top on the left you’ll see an option to enter a donation tax credit (see below). Click on that and follow the prompts. You’ll be asked to enter the amount and upload the receipt we sent you as evidence. Then, after a few weeks of working its way through the IRD system, your credit will be paid out (on the screenshot below my balance shows zero as it is already paid out).
