Work Begins On Site!

We are very excited to be getting underway on site at last with our building project! One of the key conditions of our resource consent is a Heritage Construction Management Plan, which details the measures we need to take to protect the heritage aspects of our site as well as our trees – particularly a scheduled oak tree and the commemorative totara tree planted by Bishop Gowing, and a lovely titoki that stands near the church. As part of this plan our heritage consultant has also recommended covering the stained glass windows with corflute for their protection, so that has been fitted. Next steps will be the removal of some asbestos from the old Robing Room building, and then demolition.
